Guild Charter

Rules of Conduct:

1. Be Respectful: We all play to have fun. Do not steal or grief another player over loot, runs, etc. Treat others the way you want to be treated. You represent not only yourself but the guild on this server so treat EVERYONE with respect.

2. No Lewd Conduct: We frown upon members who behave in ways that come in conflict of another's gameplay, whether in guild or with outside members.
"Remember, each time you conduct yourselves with others, it is a direct reflection on how others will see our guild members as a whole".

a. Sexual Remarks= if a member states that they are uncomfortable with sexual references made towards them, behavior of that nature will cease immediately.

b. Racial Remarks= no racist remarks shall be made pertaining to a person's ethnicity that they are directly uncomfortable with.

c. Stalker Behavior= there will be no pursuing of a member inguild or outside the guild in a sinister manner. *if they tell you to cease, you must stop this behavior immediately

3. No Drama: If you have a problem with another player you are expected to work it out or move on. . Everyone has bad days, makes poor judgments, or slips from time to time, but airing it openly in guildchat or publicly is not appropriate. Take it to whispers and resolve the issue privately. If there is a constant issue, YOU are expected to contact leadership to help you work it out.

4. Real Life Happens: We recognize that real life happens and sometimes you are unable to play. If you will be away for an extended period of time, please inform the leadership so they can make a note and you will not be removed. Otherwise, characters that have not been logged on for more than 5 months will be dropped from guild roster.

5. Language: For the most part, we are adults in this guild, but please be respectful of some that are offended by certain language. Also, please be respectful and limit foul language in vent. We do have a younger crowd that plays as well, and if asked, please curb the expletives.

Recruitment Process:

1. Fill out an application, this is your first step!

2. You will then be contacted in game by an officer for an interview in which they will ask you a series of questions and explain to you the rules of conduct and answer any questions you may have. Maturity is a MUST!

3. On completion of the interview if we feel you are a good fit you will be invited and placed on initiate status.

4. Upon reaching initiate status at some point in the very near future you will do a scheduled run with some of the officers. During your time as initiate you will be privately evaluated. If it is seen that you have not broken any rules and mesh well with the other guild members you will be given member status. The time frame as being an initiate will vary from player to player but is no less then 3 weeks.

Ranks:

Officers

1. Guildmaster: The GM is the leader and figurehead of the guild. He/She sets the rules and regulates them for the guild. They are also in charge of guild bank and makes sure items and money are distributed fairly to members for use, as well as making sure the upkeep of money is being fairly handled. It is the GM's responsibility to make sure raids are scheduled for the week or to designate another officer to handle the raiding for the week. It is the duty of the Guildmaster to make sure the guild is running smoothly. He/she will have the last word in all disputes.

2. Assistant GM: The AGM is the second in command to the Guildmaster. In lieu of the absense of the Guildmaster, the AGM will be in command.

3. Generals: Generals are the right-hand of the Guildmaster. As well as offering ideas to the GM for the betterment of the guild, they are also in charge of delegating authority during raids and resolving disharmony in the guild. It is the duty of Generals to make sure that every member understands rules of conduct, as well as rules of raiding.

4. Lieutenant: Lieutenants help assist the guildmasters and generals. They are to lead or help lead all raids. Assist GM in all raids and upkeep of guild duties. They are also to interview potential members of the guild for initiate status.

5. Sergeants: Class sergeants are those members that understand and know their class and spec very well. Members will be directed to these members to help understand and play their class better. It is the duty of the class sergeant to inform members of proper talent tree/point use, any spell/cast or shot rotations, or direct them to any websites that will help maximize their dps or help improve their gameplay.

6. Veterans: Veterans are either old members that have been with the guild an extremely long time, or they are retired members that
have held officer status. Veterans are privy to officer knowledge, but do not have an active say in officer meetings and discussions.

Non-Officers

1. Raiders: Raiders are those members that are fully epicced and understand their class and play-style during raids. They understand both their roles and actions during raids, and are also to come fully prepared to (ie, potions, food, bandages). They have tab 2 and 3 in the guild bank reserved specifically for them. Raiders get first priority on all raid spots and are expected to show for those raids they have reserved spots for.

2. Members: Members are those that have shown themselves to be in good standing with Swords of Bronzebeard. Members are expected to get along with one another, and to help one another when they are able. Members are also to sign up for spots in raids, but must have proper gear for certain raids to be able to attend. Members are able to take out items from Tab 4 and 5.

3. Dog House: Thethingy (please do not ask)

4. Initiate: Initiate status is a probationary period for prospective members into the guild. Those invited to this position will be made aware of the rules of guild conduct. If they have broken any rules during this phase, initiates will be kicked from guild immediately. After the probationary period initiates will be promoted to member status.

Guild Bank:

Guild bank will be used to store items meant for the use of guild members and above, whereas guild money will be used for repairs during all guild raiding. Tabs 3 and 4 is used to store items that all members and above will be able to pull out and utilize daily. Tab 2 is reserved for those with Raider status and above, this tab will house raiding specific items like potions, food, and buff items.

Tab 1 and Guild-Giveaways : Members and above will be able to donate items to Tab 1. Any items that others can use will be appreciated, mainly green armor or weaponry. When this tab is full, a Guild-Giveaway will be announced. During this designated day, items will be linked to members and those that can be used by a member or their alts will be sent to them. Any items that cannot be used will be "disenchanted" and materials and items will be sold to the Auctionhouse for guild repair money.

It is the responsibility and duty of the Guildmaster to make sure tabs are sorted, organized, and stocked regularly for raids. Money from guild bank will be used to buy materials to stock Tab 2 for Raiders and up.

Raiding Rules:

1. Preparedness: Please come FULLY Prepared! When you sign up for a raid, you need to know what items you will be using. Make sure you have plenty of ammunition, potions, food buffs, bandages, and items at your disposal. Many items can be obtained through the Guild bank, so there is no excuse as to why a member of SOB is not prepared for a raid.

2. Research Fights: There will be some occasions when we do come across unfamiliar raid bosses. Please research these fights via Wowwiki (or other info websites) and watch them via Youtube before raid night. It helps the raid immensely when all raiding members know what to expect on the run.

3. AFK: Please no afk breaks unless break-times are announced. If you must afk, please state so clearly and put up an /afk so others know you are currently not present at your computer. It is disrespectful to other members in the raid when they are ready to start, and you are not.

4. Clear Vent: Please clear vent during raiding and boss fights. If you must speak to someone, do so in whispers. This clears up vent for vital information and direction that needs to get out from raid leaders. It is very disruptive to other members when you state things unrelated to the fight and others are trying to concentrate on the fight at hand. During fights, please also be respectful of raid leaders and clear raid chat channels. The less typing you do during a fight, the more dps/healing/tanking you put out.

5. Loot Rules: Raid Leader will be given Master-Loot to dispense items. Items will be rolled for with on-spec being addressed first.
1 epic item and 1 tier piece per instance, if none roll, then the item will be made available for off-spec rolls.

Raid Requirements:
The raid leader is spending their time leading and organizing the run, please respect that and follow the rules.
If you have to break a rule make sure to notify your raid leader as soon as possible. Like if you are going to be late or if you forgot to repair etc..

You must install and know how to use the mandatory raid addons:
Omen, Group Calendar, DeadlyBossMods or Bigwigs

RULES (Breaking the rules may affect your attendance on further runs at the raid leaders discretion):
* Be online and READY minimum 15 minutes BEFORE raid start time, if you are not on or have not talked with the raid leader the position will be filled and leave without you.
* Repair before coming to raids.
* Bring the reagents, flasks & elixirs, potions, food, oil & stones required for your class to last the entire duration of the raid time. If you are unsure talk to your class leader.
* During raids you will follow any order the Raid Leader (RL) gives you to the best of your ability.
* If you have to leave half way through the raid make sure you inform the raid leader and have a replacement standing by (Preferably another guildie) to take over your spot. It is NOT the raid leaders job to fill your spot!
* Do not go afk without getting an approval from the raid leader. And make sure you are back in time after breaks.

This means you will do what you are told even if you disagree. If you have a problem with the strategy or any decisions the RL makes you may bring this up when you are not in a fight. Screaming out your own ideas during a boss fight or disregarding the raid leader and executing your own strategy only causes confusion and usually ends with a wipe. And should the RL decide to disregard your advice you will obey and be quiet, if you have a problem with the RL bring it up with an officer after the raid.

Thank you!
